Bromsgrove Neighbourhoods

AP Morgan Bromsgrove estate agents are centrally situated in Bromsgrove town centre and are experts on the property market in the town and its suburbs, the focus of our latest guide.

North of the Town

Some of the most sought after addresses are north of Bromsgrove. Whether that’s due to easier access to Birmingham, the M5 or M42, good and outstanding schools (LINK TO SCHOOL GUIDE) is uncertain.

But what is known is that all these factors make suburbs like Catshill, Bournheath and Lickey End have some of the highest property prices in Bromsgrove.

Lickey End, with an overall average price of £329,920, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Catshill (£324,255), but was more expensive than Bromsgrove (£276,394).

During the last year, sold prices in Lickey End were 8% up on the previous year and 19% up on 2016 when the average house price was £277,755.

Lickey End developed predominantly in the 1990s and is an area that this Bromsgrove estate agent knows well.

Blackwell - A Prestigious Address

Blackwell is one of the most expensive suburbs of Bromsgrove with average sold prices sitting above £450,000. It has an outdoor activity centre and acres of open space at Pikes Pool, owned by the Scout Association.

West of Bromsgrove

Heading west from our office along the Kidderminster Road and past Sanders Park, you’ll find Sidemoor.

This urban village was developed in late Victorian times and has grown exponentially since. You do get high value for money in terms of property in Sidmoor.

A semi-detached home sells for about £215,000; a terraced property averages £170,000 and detached houses and bungalows command sold prices of under £300,000 which strikes AP Morgan estate agents as relatively affordable, with prices similar to Birmingham.

Further west, you’ll find Dodford, a small hamlet with a market gardening heritage and a population of under 1000.
