Bromsgrove operates the Worcestershire three-tier system of First School (ages 5-9), Middle School (ages 10-13) and High School (ages 13-18). The Bromsgrove district is home to a total of 15 first schools, meaning catchment areas are rarely an issue, as there will nearly always be the first school within walking distance. There are five easily accessible middle schools throughout the town.
The two main state High Schools are Bromsgrove North, which specialises in media and creative arts, and Bromsgrove South, which specialises in foreign languages and IT. The town is also home to the prestigious independent Bromsgrove School, founded in 1553, which serves ages 3-18 across its three campuses situated throughout the town. In terms of further education, Bromsgrove is home to the main site of the Heart of Worcestershire College (Formerly North East Worcestershire College aka. NEW College), which features a £1.7 million motorcycle academy, which has been extensively equipped by Harley Davidson. Due to the previously mentioned public transport links, Bromsgrove is well situated for easy access to local universities, including the University of Worcester, the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, Aston University, and more.
